 Ridgecroft and Cape Fear Christian Academy squared off in some playoff action  on Thursday, but Ridgecroft had to settle for second. They lost  15-0 to the Cape Fear Christian Academy Eagles. Ridgecroft's loss continues a  trend for the  team, making it four in a row.
 For Cape Fear Christian Academy's part,  Glenna Mclamb made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she  struck out nine batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (and only one walk). Mclamb has been consistent recently: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive pitching appearances. Mclamb was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
 In other batting news, Cape Fear Christian Academy let  Larah Tripp and  Avery Lassiter loose on the outfield. Tripp  went 2-for-2 with a  home run, two  stolen bases,  and three  RBI, while  Lassiter  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Hailey Wangelin, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3.
 Ridgecroft's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record  this season.
 Ridgecroft does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cape Fear Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to  take on  Lawrence Academy at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Both teams will come into the  game having just posted big wins, so someone is set to suffer a big change in fortunes.
