Basketball Game Preview: Providence Christian Academy Griffins vs. Aquinas Academy Crusaders

The Providence Christian Academy Griffins and the Aquinas Academy Crusaders will compete for holiday cheer on Tuesday.

Last Friday, Providence Christian Academy lost to Tome at home by a 79-62 margin. The loss continues a trend for the Griffins in their matchups with the Titans: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Providence Christian Academy got top-tier performance from Bryce Unruh, who dropped a double-double on 36 points and ten steals. That was a full 58.1% of Providence Christian Academy's points, marking the third time in a row he's posted more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Peyton Riess, who earned five points.

Meanwhile, Aquinas Academy hadn't done well against Avon Grove Charter recently (they were 1-6 in their previous seven matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Aquinas Academy walked away with a 49-39 victory over Avon Grove Charter. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Crusaders.

Providence Christian Academy now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Aquinas Academy, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.
