Basketball Recap: Meade Wins Going Away Against Loyola Blakefield

The Meade Mustangs strolled past the Loyola Blakefield Dons with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 69-52. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mustangs.

Keon Scott was nothing short of spectacular: he almost dropped a double-double with 35 points and nine boards. The matchup was his fifth in a row with at least 19 points. Another player making a difference was Arouna Soumaoro, who dropped a double-double with ten points and ten rebounds.

Meade was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Loyola Blakefield only racked up nine.

Loyola Blakefield lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Kaleb Haysbert, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards. Ayomikun Olofintila was another key player, putting up 12 points and three steals.

Meade's record now sits at 2-0. As for Loyola Blakefield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.
