Football Game Preview: Woodland Wolverines vs. Timberland Wolves

The Woodland Wolverines will head out to face off against the Timberland Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Woodland has given up an average of 26.6 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Woodland is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 56 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Academic Magnet on Friday. They were outmatched by the Raptors and fell 44-6.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Timberland's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against Philip Simmons, falling 22-0. The contest marked the first time this season in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

Timberland's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-2. As for Woodland, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Things could have been worse for Woodland, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 27-9 loss to Timberland when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Wolverines avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
