Mortimer Jordan took a 21-point defeat the last time they faced off against Cullman, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, the Blue Devils made off with a 21-20 win over the Bearcats. For the Blue Devils, this counts as revenge for the 35-14 victory the Bearcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mortimer Jordan to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blaze Neely, who threw for 180 yards and three touchdowns. Parker Reno helped Neely out on the ground, rushing for 146 yards.
