Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lyons). They never let the Proviso West Panthers get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Ellie Cook looked comfortable as she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Julia Ahrens was a standout: she went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Isabella Evans, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
