Softball Recap: Cherokee Find Success

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Cherokee ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They had just enough and edged out the Harlan County Black Bears 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Chiefs have posted since March 5th.

The victory made it two in a row for Cherokee and bumps their season record up to 8-13. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 5 runs in those games. As for Harlan County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-9-1.

Coming up, Cherokee will take on Sullivan East at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Harlan County has already played their next game (against Shelby Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
