Volleyball Recap: Sterling City Now 9-3 over Last 12 Games

Sterling City won the last time they faced Ballinger and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Eagles blew past the Bearcats 3-0.

While Sterling City won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-21, 25-21.

Sterling City was led to victory by Charley Wilson and Christina Geary. Wilson had 13 kills and nine digs, while Geary had 13 kills, five digs, and five blocks. Wilson has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more kills the last 11 times she's played. Sophia Caldwell was another key player, getting 13 assists and six digs.

Sterling City has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-13 record this season. As for Ballinger, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 15-14.
