Basketball Recap: Olentangy Orange Comes Up Short

Olentangy Orange played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were beaten by the Hilliard Bradley Jaguars 61-32. The contest marked the Pioneers' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Hilliard Bradley found their leader in sophomore Tate Dudley, who went 7-for-17 on her way to 23 points and five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Dudley has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Hayley Hile, who posted six points and four steals.

Olentangy Orange has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Hilliard Bradley, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

Olentangy Orange and Hilliard Bradley are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Olentangy Orange will challenge Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Newark will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Olentangy Orange surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hilliard Bradley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Hayes has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
