Baseball Recap: Philip Simmons Takes a Loss

Philip Simmons was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 9-2 to the Forest Park Bruins.

Alex Romanski made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one double.

Philip Simmons now has a losing record of 10-11. As for Forest Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-5 record this season.

Philip Simmons will head out to square off against Hilton Head Island at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The Seahawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.38 runs per game on average), something the Iron Horses will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Forest Park, they will square off against Woodbridge at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bruins' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Vikings have averaged an impressive 6.5 runs per game this season.
