Volleyball Recap: Gaston Christian's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Friday. Gaston Christian fell just short of Caldwell Academy by a score of 2-1. Gaston Christian has struggled against Caldwell Academy recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Gaston Christian sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The final score came out to 25-20, 17-25, 15-8.

Among those leading the charge was Stella Streng, who had ten digs and two aces.

Having lost for the first time this season, Gaston Christian fell to 2-1. As for Caldwell Academy, they pushed their record up to 2-1 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
