Soccer Recap: Holdrege Comes Up Short

Holdrege was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the North Platte Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Holdrege of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Holdrege's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for North Platte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Holdrege will face off against rival York at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, North Platte is set to challenge their familiar foe Elkhorn South at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. North Platte are on a three-game streak of home wins, Elkhorn South a four-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
