Soccer Recap: St. Joseph Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

St. Joseph and Nipomo squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Joseph had to settle for second. They fell 4-2 to the Nipomo Titans. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Titans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Angel Camarena and Abram Garcia scored both of St. Joseph's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

St. Joseph has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those four matchups. As for Nipomo, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

St. Joseph does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nipomo, they will challenge McFarland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Nipomo is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.1 goals per game this season.
