Baseball Game Preview: Kaiser Cats vs. Mt. Carmel Sundevils

The Kaiser Cats will venture away from home to challenge the Mt. Carmel Sundevils at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kaiser's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Mt. Carmel's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

Kaiser heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Saturday. They fell just short of Culver City by a score of 9-8. The Cats' defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

Joey Alexander Chavez made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Alberto Arteaga, who went 2-for-4 with three runs.

Meanwhile, Mt. Carmel didn't have quite enough to beat Madison on Saturday and fell 3-2.

Mt. Carmel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelle Leuck, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

Kaiser's record is now 19-14. As for Mt. Carmel, their record now sits at 19-15-1.
