After a string of five wins, Hoover's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They fell 5-2 to the Oak Mountain Eagles. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Hoover's loss dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Oak Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

While Hoover had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
