Progreso had already won eight in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.6 goals) and they went ahead and made it nine on Friday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Monte Alto Blue Devil a 3-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Progreso, who have now won 15 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Progreso's victory bumped their record up to 19-3. As for Monte Alto, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.
