Basketball Recap: Alief Hastings Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Alief Hastings, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They managed a 54-49 win over the Texas City Stingarees on Tuesday. For the Bears, this counts as revenge for the 65-39 victory the Stingarees walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2016.

Among those leading the charge was Victor Okeke, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Marcos Arencibia, who posted 13 points.

Texas City lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Lloyd Pete, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 17 points and four steals. Pete is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Fountain, who put up eight points and seven rebounds.
