While Mishawaka Marian's victory against Jimtown wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights skirted past the Jimmies 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted since August 26th.

Mishawaka Marian took Jimtown into a fifth set where they got it done with a seven-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-10, 18-25, 14-25, 15-8.

Elle Boser paced Mishawaka Marian's offense, picking up 20 kills. Boser got some help from Bri Lundy and her 33 assists. Lundy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Despite the loss, Jimtown saw an underclassman step up: freshman Melina Perri had 16 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs set a new season-high mark for Perri.

Mishawaka Marian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Jimtown, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-13.

Mishawaka Marian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against South Bend Washington on the 25th. As for Jimtown, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-2 win against Knox on the 25th.
