Basketball Recap: Pine Island Takes a Loss

Pine Island lost against Stewartville back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Pine Island Panthers had to suffer through a 73-41 loss at the hands of the Stewartville Tigers. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pine Island's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Stewartville, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Pine Island Panthers face off against the Zumbrota-Mazeppa Cougars at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Stewartville, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goodhue at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Goodhue knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Stewartville likes a good challenge.
