Baseball Recap: Rigby Comes Up Short

Rigby might've scored the first runs on Wednesday, but it was Madison who claimed the real prize. The Trojans took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scott Lounsbury and Gunnar Davis stepped up to the plate in a big way. Lounsbury went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Davis went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Lounsbury has become a key player for Rigby: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 9-15 otherwise. Easton Allen was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Rigby's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Madison, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-9.

As of now, neither Rigby nor the Bobcats have any future games scheduled.
