Granville is 9-1 against Newark Catholic since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Granville Blue Aces will head out on the road to face off against the Newark Catholic Green Wave at 6:45 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Granville didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Licking Valley, but they still walked away with a 52-47 victory.

Meanwhile, Newark Catholic earned a 60-53 win over Sheridan on Saturday. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Green Wave's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 677th, while the Generals are ranked 289th).

Granville is also on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.8 points per game. As for Newark Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 4-11.

Granville strolled past Newark Catholic in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 57-40. The rematch might be a little tougher for Granville since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
