Softball Recap: Surry Central Golden Eagles vs. West Wilkes Blackhawks
Surry Central entered their game against West Wilkes on Friday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Surry Central came up short against West Wilkes, falling 16-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 last Tuesday.
Surry Central saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Layla Wall, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3. Cameron Cruise also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.
