Basketball Recap: Talladega Takes a Loss

Talladega lost against Handley back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Talladega Tigers took a 72-55 bruising from the Handley Tigers. While losing is never fun, Talladega can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 295th, while Handley is ranked 140th).

Talladega's defeat dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Handley, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-6 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Talladega will face off against Alexandria at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Alexandria will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Talladega surely won't give up without a fight. As for Handley, they will square off against Randolph County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
