Baseball Game Preview: Northridge Knights vs. Box Elder Bees

For the second straight game, Northridge will face off against Box Elder. The Knights will take on the Bees at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northridge will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

Having struggled with ten defeats in a row, Northridge turned things around against Box Elder on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Bees with a sharp 11-1 win. The Knights not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 25th (when they won 15-5).

Brock Larsen spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits.

At the plate, Jax Skola was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Northridge: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 4-17 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Parker Jeppson, who went 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI.

Northridge always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March.

Northridge's victory bumped their record up to 6-18. As for Box Elder, their loss dropped their record down to 9-15.
