Recap: Fremont Tigers vs. Lincoln East Spartans
The Fremont Tigers lost against the Lincoln East Spartans back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Fremont fell 60-48 to Lincoln East. Fremont has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
When it comes to explaining why Fremont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Matthea Dalton. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 19 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Dalton scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Emma Diers, who scored 14 points.
Fremont's loss dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Lincoln East, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fremont will face off against Bellevue East at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Bellevue East is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Lincoln East, they will head out on the road to face off against Lincoln North Star on Tuesday. Lincoln North Star will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
