Baseball Recap: Fallston Wins Going Away Against Aberdeen

Fallston barely beat Aberdeen the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars blew past the Eagles 20-3 on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Cougars in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won eight in a row.

Fallston got a massive performance out of Luca Santoro, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. The Cougars are undefeated when Santoro posts three or more RBI, but 3-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Stromberger, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Fallston kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Fallston now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Aberdeen, they dropped their record down to 1-4 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.

Coming up, Fallston will be playing in front of their home fans against Patterson Mill at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Aberdeen, they will challenge Manchester Valley on Wednesday.
