Football Recap: Danville Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Danville had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Richwoods Knights 59-6 on Thursday. The Vikings lost against the Knights in their previous head to head back in September of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 19-14 score last time.

Acosia Morris went supernova For Richwoods., rushing for 164 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries, while also picking up 47 receiving yards and one score. What's more, Morris posted two rushing touchdowns, the most she's had since back in September of 2024. Danayshia Webster was another key player, gaining 123 total yards and two touchdowns.
