Softball Recap: Springfield Renaissance Comes Up Short

Springfield Renaissance was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 23-8 to Hampden Charter School of Science. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Hampden Charter School of Science this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 20-4 on April 10th.

Breanne Morris made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with five stolen bases and two runs. Sofia Rivera also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Springfield Renaissance's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Hampden Charter School of Science, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Springfield Renaissance will face off against Belchertown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hampden Charter School of Science, they will square off against Putnam Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
