Basketball Recap: Red Oak Comes Up Short

Red Oak lost against Glenwood back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Red Oak Tigers took a blow against the Glenwood Rams, falling 75-41. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa basketball rankings (they are ranked 255th, while the Rams are ranked 84th).

Red Oak has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Glenwood, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-3.

Red Oak will host Sidney at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Sidney's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last six contests. As for Glenwood, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-60 win against Madison East on the 25th.
