Basketball Recap: Tri-County Triumphs

Tri-County won the last time they faced DeMotte Christian and Grace Luck did her part to make sure it happened again. The Cavaliers strolled past the Knights with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 54-38 for which the team can thank Luck, who posted 13 points in addition to six steals and five boards. She is becoming a predictor of Tri-County's success: when she posts at least five steals the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when she doesn't).

Another player making a difference was Evalynn Ross, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds. She has been hot, having posted eight or more boards the last eight times she's played.

DeMotte Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Cora D., who had ten points along with five rebounds and three blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Cassie Nanninga, who scored seven points and four steals.

Tri-County's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for DeMotte Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
