Football Preview: Westinghouse Warriors vs. Taft Eagles
Westinghouse hasn't had much luck against Taft recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Westinghouse Warriors will take on the Taft Eagles at 7:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Westinghouse won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by Payton College Prep 30-29.
Meanwhile, Taft was able to grind out a solid win over Amundsen on Saturday, taking the game 21-14. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Eagles.
Stephen Carrera was a one-man wrecking crew for Taft as he rushed for 86 yards and two touchdowns. That's the most rushing yards Carrera has posted since back in September of 2023.
Taft wouldn't let Amundsen keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Taft can thank Alhussain Elsheikh and Diesel McFadden for forcing both of them.
Westinghouse's record is now 3-1. As for Taft, their record now sits at 3-1.
