Mississippi School for the Deaf was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Illinois School for the Deaf apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2020.
When it comes to explaining why Mississippi School for the Deaf lost, one person who can't be blamed is Christian Carrawell. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Learvious Hill, who scored 12 points.
Mississippi School for the Deaf's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 1-9. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 28.0 points per game. As for Illinois School for the Deaf, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mississippi School for the Deaf will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Stringer at 7:30 p.m. on December 12th. As for Illinois School for the Deaf, they will square off against Mendon Unity at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
