            Baseball Preview: Clatskanie Tigers vs. Scio Loggers        
        
		
        
        
            The Clatskanie Tigers will square off against the Scio Loggers at 4:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Clatskanie will be strutting in after a  victory while Scio will be coming in after a  defeat.
Clatskanie is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home  on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand Rainier  a   15-0 shutout.

 Brendan Shroll was a major factor no matter where he played. He  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs off   one  hit. What's more,  he posted four  strikeouts, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate,  scoring three  runs and  stealing a base. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last three games he's  played dating back to last season.
 In other batting news, Clatskanie let  Cash Doney and  Finn McDonnell run wild. Doney  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3, while  McDonnell  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more,  McDonnell posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of  Zach Mollenhour, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
 Clatskanie  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .543. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rainier only posted  an  OBP of  .222.
Meanwhile, Scio came up short against Douglas on Tuesday and fell  8-4.
  Braxton Carlson and  Haydin Tibbs did some serious damage despite the final result:  Carlson  scored a  run and  stole  Two bases. while going 1-for-3, while  Tibbs  scored a  run and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.  Henry Siegmund was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
 Clatskanie took their  win against Scio  in their previous meeting  back in March of 2024 by a conclusive  13-3. Will Clatskanie repeat their success,  or does  Scio have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
