The First Academy will head into Tuesday's matchup after some sweet revenge against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy: The First Academy made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy, but still couldn't quite topple them. The First Academy blew past Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy 75-52 on Tuesday. Given the Royals' advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 101st, while the Tigers are ranked 286th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

The First Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Corey Capps led the charge by going 6 of 8 en route to 17 points. Cooper Clinger was another key player, going 6 for 10 on his way to 18 points.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Tate's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Colonial.

The First Academy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-3. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.1 points per game. As for Tate, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-8.
