Preview: Anderson Raptors vs. Little Miami Panthers
Anderson is 8-0 against Little Miami since December of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Anderson Raptors have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Little Miami Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Anderson focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
Last Tuesday, Anderson ended up a good deal behind Winton Woods and lost 63-49. While losing is never fun, Anderson can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while Winton Woods is ranked 15th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Caden Piening, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Andrew Patterson, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Little Miami entered their tilt with Colerain with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Everything went Little Miami's way against Colerain on Tuesday as Little Miami made off with a 66-40 victory.
Anderson's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Little Miami, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a massive bump to their 15-6 record this season.
Anderson strolled past Little Miami in their previous matchup back in January by a score of 47-32. Will Anderson repeat their success, or does Little Miami have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
