Basketball Recap: Campbell Snodgrass' Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Point-Beemer over Yutan

West Point-Beemer lost against Yutan back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The West Point-Beemer Cadets fell just short of the Yutan Chieftains by a score of 33-31.

West Point-Beemer's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Campbell Snodgrass, who posted nine points. Snodgrass has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Addison Toelle was another key player, putting up five points and seven steals.

Mylee Tichota was nothing short of spectacular for Yutan: she dropped a double-double on 18 points and 15 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Tichota a new career-high in boards.

West Point-Beemer's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Yutan, the win was the 18th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 2-0.

West Point-Beemer wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 54-35 victory against Stanton on the 10th. As for Yutan, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-34 defeat against Arlington on the 10th.
