Softball Recap: Northwest Falls to Glenoak in First Game of Season

Northwest had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against the GlenOak Golden Eagles, falling 18-2. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Golden Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2017.

Northwest saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ally Sharrer, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

GlenOak's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Northwest will challenge St. Vincent-St. Mary at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for GlenOak, they will take on Jackson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be GlenOak's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
