Baseball Game Preview: Clover Park Timberwolves vs. Steilacoom Sentinels

Clover Park is 0-10 against Steilacoom since April of 2019 but things could change on Tuesday. The Timberwolves will head out on the road to square off against the Sentinels at 4:00 p.m. Clover Park is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Friday, Clover Park got the win against Bremerton by a conclusive 14-7. Considering the Timberwolves have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Steilacoom came up short against Franklin Pierce on Wednesday and fell 7-2.

Clover Park pushed their record up to 9-7 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Steilacoom, their loss dropped their record down to 16-5.

Clover Park might still be hurting after the 10-0 defeat they got from Steilacoom when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Timberwolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
