Soccer Recap: Pittsfield Comes Up Short

If Pittsfield was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Wahconah Regional on Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Generals took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Monument Mountain Spartans on Friday. Pittsfield were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Monument Mountain apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Pittsfield's goal came courtesy of Sebastian Moreno, which was the first he's scored this season.

Pittsfield has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's still a better percentage than their 1-5-1 record this season. As for Monument Mountain, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Pittsfield is set to square off against their familiar foe Agawam at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Monument Mountain will face off against rival Hampshire Regional at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
