There's no place like home for Kennedale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. Everything went their way against the Venus Bulldogs on Tuesday as the Kennedale Wildcats made off with a 17-0 victory. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Kennedale has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Venus has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.

Kennedale will face off against Alvarado at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alvarado will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Venus, they will challenge Hillsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Venus has given up an average of 10.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
