Softball Recap: Bethel-Tate Finds Home Field Redemption Against Felicity-Franklin

There's no place like home for Bethel-Tate, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They put the hurt on the Felicity-Franklin Cardinals with a sharp 19-12 victory on Monday. Considering the Tigers have won four games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Maddy Harness made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Harness was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with three runs.

In other batting news, Bethel-Tate got a massive performance out of Jess Mahan, who went 2-for-5 with three runs and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Ally Thompson, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Bethel-Tate pushed their record up to 6-5 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.3 runs over those games. As for Felicity-Franklin, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.
