Softball Game Preview: Cleveland Rams vs. Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs

Cleveland has gone a perfect 7-0 against Southeast Raleigh recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Rams will be playing at home against the Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Cleveland has eight straight victories, Southeast Raleigh has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Last Thursday, Cleveland earned a 5-1 win over Clayton.

Karsyn Hudacky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 13 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 12 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Maddie Murphy and Izzy Sholar did most of the damage at the plate: Murphy went 1-for-3 with one triple and one run, while Sholar scored a run while going 2-for-3. That triple marked the first that Murphy hit this season.

Meanwhile, Southeast Raleigh fell victim to Corinth Holders and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 15-0.

Cleveland's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Southeast Raleigh, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Cleveland took their win against Southeast Raleigh in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 17-0 score. Will the Rams repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
