Game recap: Larue County High School Football Team tops Corbin

HODGENVILLE, Ky. - Corbin (Ky.) lost to Larue County (Hodgenville, Ky.), 36-16.

The Redhounds pulled ahead on a field goal by Corey Taylor, and subsequently went into halftime leading 10-9. The Hawks took the lead for good with a Gabe Shirley touchdown run in the third quarter.

Taylor played well for Corbin. The sophomore quarterback kicked one field goal and one extra point.

Larue County's most effective player was Shirley. The senior quarterback ran for three touchdowns.



Coming into the game LC had allowed 18.7 points per game this year.

The loss comes after Corbin defeated Harlan 42-13 last week. The loss snapped CHS's 2-game winning streak.
