Basketball Recap: Bethlehem Christian Academy Takes a Loss

If Bethlehem Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 78-36 takedown of Notre Dame Academy last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bethlehem Christian Academy Knights fell just short of the Tattnall Square Academy Trojans by a score of 52-50 on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Knights of the 61-46 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February.

When it comes to explaining why Bethlehem Christian Academy lost, don't look at Rockie Sapp. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Sapp a new career-high in steals (six). Another player making a difference was Bella Fry, who went 6 of 13 en route to 14 points.

Even though they lost, Bethlehem Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive rebounds in three consecutive games.

Bethlehem Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Tattnall Square Academy, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-4.
