Softball Recap: Bethel Christian Academy's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

If Bethel Christian Academy was riding high fresh off their 16-0 takedown of Wilmington Christian Academy last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Bethel Christian Academy came up short against the Wilson Christian Academy Chargers on Thursday, falling 12-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chargers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-1 two weeks ago.

Avery Cash made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4.

Bethel Christian Academy's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-3. As for Wilson Christian Academy, their record is now 4-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel Christian Academy will challenge Scotland Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Scotland Christian Academy has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.75 runs per game on average), something Bethel Christian Academy will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wilson Christian Academy, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Life Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
