Basketball Recap: Fordham Prep Takes a Loss

Fordham Prep was the 55-43 winner over St. Edmund Prep when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Fordham Prep Rams fell 67-55 to the St. Edmund Prep Eagles on Tuesday. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Fordham Prep lost, don't look at Brian Kapfer. Despite the final result, he went 10 of 19 on his way to 29 points and three steals. The matchup was Kapfer's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan McElhatton, who posted eight points and nine rebounds.

Fordham Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for St. Edmund Prep, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Fordham Prep and Monsignor Farrell will compete for holiday cheer at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. St. Edmund Prep will take on LaSalle Academy in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
