Catholic - N.I. posted their closest win since October 4th on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Southside Sharks. This was a revenge game for the Panthers: when they faced off against the Sharks back in September, they had to take a 3-1 defeat.

Amelie Trappey paced Catholic - N.I.'s offense, picking up 12 kills. Trappey got some help from MacKenzie Batiste and her 14 assists. Trappey was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Catholic - N.I. has been performing well recently as they've won 18 of their last 22 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-15 record this season. As for Southside, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-7.

Catholic - N.I. didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Pope John Paul II on the 1st. Southside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
