Volleyball Game Preview: Palma Chieftains vs. Rancho San Juan Trailblazers

Palma is on a five-game streak of home wins, while Rancho San Juan is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Chieftains will welcome the Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Monday, Palma was able to grind out a solid win over York, taking the game 3-1. The victory continues a trend for the Chieftains in their matchups with the Falcons: they've now won three in a row.

Palma walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The final score came out to 25-12, 25-22, 18-25, 25-20.

Meanwhile, Rancho San Juan earned a 3-1 victory over Everett Alvarez on Monday.

Rancho San Juan had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 25-19, 25-19.

Rancho San Juan is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 18-14 record this season. As for Palma, their win bumped their record up to 24-5.

Palma was able to grind out a solid victory over Rancho San Juan when the teams last played back in April, winning 2-0. Do the Chieftains have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trailblazers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
