Baseball Recap: East River Comes Up Short

East River's last matchup with Montverde Academy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Falcons came up short against the Eagles, falling 14-3. If the Falcons were looking for revenge after losing 3-1 to the Eagles when the teams met back in March of 2023, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Alejandro Medina made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI.

This is the second loss in a row for East River and nudges their season record down to 12-10. As for Montverde Academy, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. East River will welcome Satellite at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Scorpions will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight. As for Montverde Academy, they will be playing at home against Lake Minneola at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
