Basketball Recap: Worthington Comes Up Short

Worthington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 15th straight defeat. They were beaten by the St. Peter Saints 62-28. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 321st, while the Saints are ranked 101st).

Worthington's loss dropped their record down to 1-18. As for St. Peter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worthington has already played their next match (against Western Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Peter will square off against Fairmont at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Fairmont will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something St. Peter surely won't give up without a fight.
